You would like to protect yourself from the Corona Virus? Stop touching your face! Hands touches many surfaces and holds viruses unconsciously. When you touch your face with your dirty (and possibly infected) hands, viruses could possibly infect your body and you could potentially infected and got sick.

Hand-washing is an easy way to prevent yourself from being sick. By doing it frequently, it will remove dirt, bacteria, and viruses from your skin. Furthermore, it also helps to avoid viruses from being spread from one another. You can help yourself and your loved ones to stay healthy by scrubbing your hands for 20 seconds. To make it easier, you can sing “Happy Birthday” twice before rinsing your hands.

  1. Stay Home if You Feel Unwell

Not only allows your body to rest, staying home also allows you to reducing the risk of catching or spreading illness to other people, even if you have mild symptoms. On the other hand, if you have symptoms of fever, coughing and breathing trouble, you have to seek medical care quickly. Make sure you have called your health service provider beforehand and describe your symptoms as clearly as possible over the phone.

  1. Please Maintain Physical Distance

According to Control and Prevention (CDC), physical distancing for at least 2 meters (about 2 arms’ length) is one of the most effective ways to avoid the spread of COVID-19. This is to be put into practice with anyone outside your household since people who have no symptoms can also spread the virus before they know they are sick.

  1. Cover Mouth & Nose with Flexed Elbow or Tissue when Sneezing/Coughing

cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow

It is extremely important to do this as sneezing and coughing can spread germs very easily. Use tissue when you sneeze or cough and throw the used tissues in a closed bin right away. If you do not have a tissue, never sneeze or cough into your hands and use your elbow instead. This is to prevent spreading germs through things that you touch if you use your hands.

Also, always keep in mind that you have to wash your hand immediately after sneezing or coughing.

  1. Please Act Responsibly

covid19 act responsibly

Comply with the safety and hygiene measures at all times. Although rarely mentioned, there are things like spitting in public that can be dangerous and considered as a health hazard, so don’t do it. Bottom line is to always be responsible towards your actions. Be aware of the people around you and your surroundings, not only to keep yourself healthy but also to protect others.
