Krona Strengthens Its Role in Regional Marketing with SAMA Alliance

Krona has reaffirmed its position in the regional marketing landscape by attending the launch of the SAMA Alliance for Malaysia and Singapore. Held on November 13, 2024, at Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) Mid Valley Kuala Lumpur, this event marked a significant milestone for Krona, which has been part of the SAMA Alliance since its initial launch in Jakarta last August.

During the Jakarta launch, our CEO, Indra Jaya, played a key role in presenting SAMA’s vision as a regional marketing alliance that bridges agencies across Southeast Asia. This time, at the launch of SAMA’s next phase for Malaysia and Singapore, Krona stood as one of Indonesia’s representatives. Attended by Indra Jaya, Dik Dik Fahruddin, and Catherine Angelina Husein, Krona’s presence underscores its commitment to fostering cross-border collaboration within the marketing industry.

Alongside Krona, other notable Indonesian agencies also attended the Kuala Lumpur event, including IDEOWORKS, Omeoo, Ivosights, GLO, and Naikkreatif. Their collective presence highlighted Indonesia’s strong contribution to this ambitious regional initiative.

An Alliance for the Future of Marketing

SAMA (Southeast Asian Marketing Alliance) is an ambitious initiative connecting 17 leading digital agencies from four Southeast Asian countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. The alliance aims to strengthen the regional marketing ecosystem by focusing on innovation, cross-border collaboration, and hyperlocal strategies—tailoring marketing approaches to the unique needs of each local market.

Through this alliance, Krona and its fellow members are dedicated to enhancing the quality of marketing services. Key topics discussed at the Kuala Lumpur launch included talent exchange, inter-agency service collaboration, regional project development, and creating new opportunities for brands to reach wider audiences. “SAMA is a platform for sharing insights, fostering innovation, and building connections that can drive meaningful impacts for clients and the industry,” said Indra Jaya.

The atmosphere at the Kuala Lumpur launch was filled with energy and optimism. Fresh ideas emerged, including opportunities for mutual support through shared services, cross-country training, and even the development of more inclusive marketing projects across Southeast Asia. Krona views this platform as a tremendous opportunity to enhance its agency’s capacity and capabilities while delivering greater value to clients.

The collaborations designed within SAMA provide significant opportunities to develop regional-scale projects, enhancing brand exposure while facilitating cross-cultural talent exchange.

Looking Ahead: From Malaysia to the Asia-Pacific

Moving forward, SAMA plans to expand its reach to Vietnam, the Philippines, and Cambodia. This expansion aims to establish the alliance as the most respected marketing network in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. With over 600 million people in this area, an integrated collaborative strategy is key to achieving success.

For Krona, involvement in this alliance not only opens up new opportunities but also presents exciting challenges to continuously innovate. Krona believes that cross-border collaboration brings fresh perspectives that enrich their marketing strategies while creating a positive impact for both clients and the industry.

Krona’s journey with SAMA reflects its larger vision of being more than just a creative agency. It represents a strategic effort to shape the future of marketing in Southeast Asia, with collaboration at the heart of every step they take.
